Term: Permanent. Full-time (40 hours per week), working Monday - Friday

Salary: £35k to £44k per annum, depending on experience

Sparx Science is our newest system and is breaking new ground in science education. At this exciting time, we are seeking a creative and passionate content designer to join us in developing our unique science content. You will form part of our small, dynamic, and committed Science team and play a central role in designing our innovative and engaging content. 

This opportunity will allow you to directly impact the learning journey of thousands of students and support teachers in getting the very most out of them. If you’re ready to bring your deep understanding of science and education, as well as your creative flair, then read on.



What you’ll do

  • Create high-quality content informed by the latest educational research and science pedagogy.

  • Review and quality assure content produced for Sparx Science to maximise its impact for learners.

  • Innovate new methods of content delivery alongside the science team to maximise the impact and quality of learning in Sparx Science.

  • Refine and improve our content using your experience, our data and customer feedback to ensure it delivers impact and promotes deep thinking.

  • Continually strive for best practice to increase the quality of content or the efficiency of its creation. 


What you need

  • Excellent written communication skills with an ability to present complex ideas clearly for a wide range of learners.

  • An ability to explain and test scientific concepts to at least A-level standard. 

  • A passion for education and helping students learn, preferably demonstrated by teaching or tutoring experience, and a good understanding of science education in the UK.

  • Experience in multitasking, prioritising your workload and meeting deadlines across multiple projects.

  • Experience of working both individually and collaborating effectively as part of a team.

  • High level of computer literacy, picking up new systems or applications swiftly.
