Storytellers out there – we need you!
Are you passionate about education and storytelling? Do you have a creative spark and a knack for sharing stories that truly matter?
If you’re eager to use your talents to improve lives, make a positive difference and bring our shared values to life, we have a juicy problem for you to solve at Sparx Learning.
The Juicy Problem
At Sparx Learning, we’re on a mission to improve lives through learning, supporting over 2,600 schools, 60,000 teachers, and 2.4 million students. We build systems that help schools boost student confidence, enhance skills, and raise attainment by cultivating deliberate practice and fostering cultures of transparency, impact, and quality.
Our growth comes from word of mouth, as teachers share their positive experiences with one another. On the one hand that’s amazing and testament to the quality of what we do day in and day out.
But here’s the challenge: How do we unearth all the amazing impact stories we are creating on a daily basis to help us share our success with our growing community of students, teachers, schools, parents and our Sparx teammates?
What You’ll Do:
We’re looking for a dedicated storyteller—a Sparx Learning journalist if you will —who will bring our story to life.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
Unearthing all of our good news impact stories on a daily basis, driven by empathy to understand and celebrate the achievements of our community.
Energising our community by sharing their stories and successes, fostering a sense of purpose and pride in our collective mission. .
Attracting new schools to our movement by showcasing the tangible, data-driven impact our systems have on learning and development.
Building a strong employer brand that resonates with mission-driven talent, appealing to those who value agility and want to be part of an impactful, united team.
Supporting investment and partnership opportunities as we look to expand internationally.
Making our team proud by sharing the amazing work we do and celebrating our achievements and stories that reflect our commitment to empathy, unity, agility and data-driven impact.
You’ll dive into our community and our teams and people and uncover inspiring stories, and share them authentically—without resorting to buzzwords or jargon. This is about real impact, in real words, shared in a way that resonates with everyone from students to teammates to investors.
What You’ll Bring:
Confidence and curiosity to deeply understand Sparx Learning’s mission, values, and unique needs, with the empathy and sensitivity to represent our brand authentically.
A passion for storytelling, with experience in journalism, content creation, or a similar field.
An ability to connect with diverse audiences through strong writing and communication skills, and convey stories in a compelling, authentic way.
A genuine interest in education and a belief in the power of learning to change lives.
Analytical skills to measure the impact of communications efforts and adjust strategies to enhance results.
Collaborative and team-oriented, working seamlessly with cross-functional teams to identify, celebrate, and amplify success stories.
The ability to work in our Exeter office, where you’ll be close to the heart of our work and able to capture stories as they happen.
Why Join Sparx Learning?
You’ll be part of a mission-driven organisation that’s making a tangible difference in education. You’ll have the chance to shape our external brand, inspire our community, and showcase the magic of what we do. And, most importantly, you’ll be helping us share the incredible impact that Sparx Learning has on students, teachers, and schools around the world.
